Overview

Commerce Ace ("we", "us", "our") operates the Contact Form to Slack Shopify application ("the App"). This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you install and use the App.

Information We Collect

When you install the App, we collect and store the following information:

  • Your Shopify store domain (e.g. yourstore.myshopify.com)
  • Your Slack Incoming Webhook URL, which you provide in the App settings

When a customer submits your store's contact form, the App temporarily processes the following customer-provided information solely to forward it to your Slack channel:

  • Customer name
  • Customer email address
  • Customer phone number (if provided)
  • Customer message

We do not permanently store any customer contact form submission data. This data is processed in memory and immediately forwarded to your designated Slack channel.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to:

  • Authenticate your Shopify store and maintain your App session
  • Store your Slack Webhook URL to enable contact form notifications
  • Forward customer contact form submissions to your Slack channel

We do not sell, share, or disclose your information or your customers' information to any third parties, except as required to operate the App (Slack, as your chosen notification destination).

Data Storage

Your store domain and Slack Webhook URL are stored securely in our database hosted on Fly.io infrastructure in Dallas, Texas, United States. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.

Data Retention and Deletion

When you uninstall the App from your Shopify store, you may request deletion of your stored data by contacting us at the email address below. We will delete your store domain and Slack Webhook URL from our systems within 30 days of your request.

Your Customers' Data

Contact form submission data (name, email, phone, message) is never stored by the App. It is processed transiently and forwarded directly to your Slack channel. As the merchant, you are responsible for how you handle and respond to customer inquiries received via Slack.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and secure database storage. Your Slack Webhook URL is stored securely and never exposed publicly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
