One Person. One Afternoon. An Entire Black Friday Refresh.

September 04, 2026 · Platform Walkthroughs

This is Volume One of the Commerce Ace platform series — the first film in a lineup covering every agent on the platform. It starts with the biggest weekend in commerce.

Black Friday setup is usually a team sport played over several weeks: merchandising builds the category, creative delivers assets, content loads the CMS, marketing schedules campaigns, and someone stays up past midnight on go-live night making sure it all fires.

I staged the entire weekend in one afternoon, alone. The full, unedited workflow is below.

What Gets Built

1. The catalog — from one prompt

The Catalog AI Agent creates the Black Friday category in Business Manager: products assigned, long and short descriptions written, page title, meta description, and keywords generated, tile image set. Business Manager's online date keeps the category dark until 6 AM on launch day — the platform builds it, the schedule reveals it.

2. The content — every surface, staged as drafts

A fully dressed category landing page with an in-grid promotional banner. A homepage hero with a portrait image composed for phones — because more than half of Black Friday traffic is mobile, and a desktop shot awkwardly cropped by CSS isn't a mobile strategy. A shoppable video where every look links to its product. The header nav and mega menu with a Black Friday explore card. Every piece saved as a draft: staged, versioned, and invisible to shoppers.

3. The personalization — one campaign, every page

The Personalization Agent builds an announcement bar campaign from a prompt. For launch it targets everyone — but the audience engine underneath can split messages by new versus returning visitors, traffic source, even region. Same surface, different message for different people. The bar also gets its own end date: Sunday night, it takes itself down. Nobody logs in at midnight to remove a banner.

4. The promotion — real, in Business Manager

One plain-English sentence to the Promotions Agent — products, percentage, dates, callout message — and it builds the actual promotion in Business Manager: discount rules, campaign, schedule. The callout appears under the price on every product in the promotion, automatically.

5. The blog post — written while the promotion builds

The Blog Agent takes a brief and produces a publish-ready post — structured for SEO and for answer engines, headings and FAQ included. It ships as a draft, because like everything else here, it doesn't publish itself.

The Release — One Moment, One Ledger

Six kinds of changes — category content, homepage, header, blog, personalization — scheduled to go live at the same instant as one named Release. And the part every director will care about: the View Changes ledger. Line by line, exactly what changes when the release fires. Old value struck through, new value beside it. The hero gains a slide. The header gains a nav item. The announcement bar flips from inactive to active. When someone asks what's in the Black Friday release, this is the answer.

Then the Cyber Monday release goes into the queue right behind it — hero swapped to last-call messaging, staged the same afternoon. The whole weekend, planned before Halloween.

Preview Future — See November in September

Before any of it ships, the storefront's Preview Future picks a date — November 27 — and renders the site exactly as a customer will see it: the bar, the nav, the hero, the dressed category, the real promotion pricing in the cart, the live blog post. Jump to November 30 and Cyber Monday has taken over, the countdown is running, and the Black Friday bar is gone — it ended itself Sunday night. One click returns to the present, and the live site never changed.

Scheduled content and scheduled promotions, one date, one preview. That's the feature I'm proudest of on the platform.

Why This Matters

This wasn't a design mockup or a staging trick. It's a real catalog, a real promotion in Business Manager, real scheduled releases with a real audit trail — operated by one person in an afternoon. The work that used to take a team weeks compresses into a workflow one merchandiser can own.

And this is just the beginning. Volume One covers the Black Friday build; the films that follow go deep on each agent — promotions, catalog, personalization, analytics, tax, and the release system — one at a time.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Commerce Ace?

An AI platform for Salesforce Commerce — six AI agents, a headless CMS, a personalization engine, and release scheduling, built for Storefront Next and Business Manager.

Does this work with an existing Salesforce Commerce instance?

Yes. The agents work against standard Business Manager APIs, and the platform installs as a Business Manager extension.

Is the promotion real or simulated?

Real. The Promotions Agent builds actual promotions in Business Manager — discount rules, campaign, schedule, and callout messaging.

What is Preview Future?

A storefront feature that renders any future date — scheduled content and scheduled promotions together — so stakeholders can review a campaign weeks before it goes live.

Can campaigns and content ship together?

Yes — that's the Release system. Content changes, blog posts, and personalization campaigns group into one named release, scheduled for one moment, with a line-by-line ledger of every change.

Where can I see the full platform?

The complete agent lineup is at commerceace.com.
